Got an unusual interior - share it with us! Pimped or Rat - makes no difference Please no sound or Instrument pics - those have their own threads Battery boxes, custom panels, seats, lights, carpets etc..... bring them on Here's some JDM stuff to start off with: JDM cars had power folding electric mirrors as an option, electric drivers seat on all cars from 88 on. Limited interior colour choices, nearly all are blue Some Blue interiors have black inserts on the seats and doors as standard The radio aerial is included in the rear window glass Stock 88 JDM TEMS GE, GT-R with common JDM blue interior Stock 87 JDM ST162 Corona GT, FE grey/black interior (similar to convertable) Stock 87 JDM GT4 with grey leather - seems they were all grey/black leather Stock 88 JDM GT-R, GE with black leather (rare) Stock 86 JDM AT160, 4A-GE grey interior, manual winders, manual mirrors These are also sometimes found with brown interior JDM ST162 4 Door model Full spare wheel cover JDM Convertible, only ever seen them in grey? Ultra rare Black/Black interior Tan interior, some early AT160's only A german contribution Grey/grey interior, some early 161's/2's Whats under the dash Black/blue combo Nice dash mat! A sneak preview of my latest creation
Some of my car ( 1986 ST162 ), not all are completely uptodate. 1988 ST165 interior : originally I had :
So, the Wolf also has 2 electric seats! The wiring is easy, the hard part is to mount the second gauge neatly, I have the same problem & cutting up a spare console as the hole needs a relief To make a proper passenger seat, I had to buy another front set and swap the bases around How did you solve that problem? Nice conversion Wolf! I'd like to see the seats as well. I find the brown interior very depressing, did you change the dash as well? I see some brown switches in the dash Does your dimmer switch work? I have the dimmer but no wires? Witch type do you have?
What's with the diff lock switch on the GT4? Is that an early JDM option only? I have 2 '88 gt4's and neither have this? (USDM models) Black on Black interiors w/leather on both.
Rally cars were fitted with viscous coupling transfer cases, it was an option available to JDM market and (I think) the Euro market Pics and discussion are here: http://st162.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=3828&start=380
I just kinda hooked it up to the other chair's electrical system as you don't use it at the same time and not all the time it is save enough. I used another drivers' seat to change the passenger seat indeed. The switch I don't know, i'll take it out someday and make apicture of it. Getting the seatswitch nice and tidy is a shitjob as it will never fitt as good as the original, but my wife and friends are happy I put it in there .
thats were ill be putting mine too but i want it to fit flush...goin to take my time and i think ill just add another peice of plastic to the middle!
Already done that, I sacrificed an old console just for the seat switch holder You could also cut the relief carefully using a router
Haven't finished yet, still got to glue it into the new console, will post the entire new interior soon I also have the two seats using the same supply, just don't use them at the same time Those brown and grey seats are interesting, never seen them here. The early cars (86) with tan interior had Corona type seats here.
ya i would probly bring a second supply in...i know its more wiring but if theres anyone else that presses the button at the same time?? well yano...if someone checks out your car!
The worst that can happen in that case is a fuse will blow Not worth the effort of running wires all the way to the fusebox and adding another fuse Well, well - the dimmer switch is interesting On all 4 of the JDM cars I had, not one had a working dimmer switch! Thankfully the dash is out at the moment and I decided to do a little hunting. Tied up inside the dash harness where the White/black & black wires with the connector and a jumper across them. Turns out neither switch is the correct one an I still can't get the dash lights to dim Anybody hazard a guess why the JDM's don't have adjustable dash lights? Please could someone show me the correct dimmer switch?
the car is not at home in a garage....but will be soon and then I'll pull it out for you and make you some highres pic's
just stock its not the cleanest or the nicest but i do want to try and fix it up some let me know what you think
Love the push button heater controls. Did they come on the Japanese versions or the American ones? Did we get them in the UK?
I think they came on the japanese ones and american ones like mine but idk about you guys in the uk...
