About to fit some extractors to my ge.

Do i just bolt them on, and thats it?
    Does it need a tune?
How the hell do you 'tune' an injected engine with a "fixed ecu" anyway?

Edit: i just re-read the Road and Track document and answered one question.

However, is there such thing as "tuning" this engine providing the ignition and valve timings are set as per workshop manual? Or is that it.

    Cheers,

    Alex

I was thinking along the lines of valve timings, ignition timings, ect.

Workshop manual just has "Set crank to tdc on compression stroke, line up marks on cam gears with marks on housing"

Any info around on retarding/advancing exhaust or intake cams by a tooth or two? Or you just dont do that without a dyno?

    Cheers

do you have adjustable cam gears?
and you need a dyno to tune them correctly.

No on adjustable cam gears, though if you measure correctly simply changing which tooth is engaged at tdc on the timing belt does the same job.

Not worth dyno money on this car Lol, so I'll leave fiddling with these bits for another time!
