i hate being like everone else so i was thinking a superchager would rock the shit. i saw a 7 th gen with one and at 7k it sounded like a jet fighter... just wondering if this is a plausible option or if i should just save for a 3s-gte

the only way i would supercharge a 3s motor would be:

    1) if it was a 3sgte, without the turbo

    2) if it WAS a 3sge, some internal work, and a headgasket spacer

depending on the supercharger u would get low end torque or high end
    some expensive ones do both

be prepared to pay the fuel bill though

    lol

it would be nice to build my ge for low end cause that alot more fun in the twisties but god damnit i hate paying for gas more than anything hahahahahahaha

um yeah. the only way you'll ever get one of these to hold a SC is to swap in a GTE bottom end and use a mustang vortech SC and custom bracket hell. oh and plan on an intercooler as well or the pistons will melt.

i'd just go with a bad ass built 3sgte i personally dont like the 1zz and 2zz engines IMO Aluminium Blocks = :eew: I'll stick with my iron blocks with aluminium heads.

If it was feasible, then more people would do it. But everybody just stays turbo. Probably the best bang for the buck anyway, since you would have to buy the turbo block and take the turbo off to SC it.

I think he was from aus and already had the correct engine mount's in the right spots tho.... You can realistically do anything just a matter of how much money you're gonna save up lol

just as a quick sum up:
    yes it can be done
    turbo is cheaper.

As Mafix said it can be done- I have done some basic research on this and I found that the AllTrac Toyota Previa came with a Supercharger- It is also on a 4 cyl. base- Now also as Mafix said a Mounting bracket hell issue will develop also youll need the ECU and Harness to boot.

But all the research was done on the basis of a 1/2 swap. But also didnt the MKI- MR2 come with a S/C , I would say that swap would come a little cheaper than the Previa swap. ;)

see thats what i was thinking but once i looked into it the most power i could be gaining is 45 horses
and mounting would still be an issue i think
cause i dont know quite how hard it would be to mount a 4agze up in my car but i sure dont have the money for it lol

I have an Electric Supercharger !!! It actually works in the low end- but between 3rd and 4th it starts to die out a little lololol
