SO I bought this new Oxy sensor so i can finally get my engine light to stop flashing at me and hopefully restore some fuel economy but our stock sensor is a single wire (Pre 88')
and this new one has come with an incompatible connector and 4 wires  what the fuck? I guessed already I'm gunna have to cut and add in a new connector but can i still use this? do i just hack off the other three wires? Which Wire do i Use?
There's 1 Grey wire, 1 Black wire and 2 white wires.

Here's a Pic of my Oxy sensor

a 4 wire is a heated o2 sensor.... (ho2s) your stock two wire is just a signal and a ground wire.

i was gunna say that must be a usdm california sensor. dont the non-california pre facelift ones only have 2 wires?

Yeah i dunno what's happened here, I've taken it back into the guy and said it's the wrong sensor and it doesn't fit, he looked at me like i was stupid then opened the box and said "Shit! I got you the wrong model didn't I" so yeah apparently this one is compatible with the 2nd Gen 3SGE's def not the 1st Gen, Mine's pre face-lift so the Oxy sensor wire is only a single, post face-lifts have a dual wired sensor.
