Different wires can give you different performance. They can also make lots of noise in your stereo. Typically the cheaper the wires, the worse the performance. NGK makes a good set of replacement wires. TRD ones are obviously good, hard to get though. Nology Hot wires are probably the best for performance IF you are just using a stock iginition Also a good platnium or iridium plug will help out as well.

yeah i got the irridium ngk's
so the nology's work best on a stock ignition system
    sweet deal

not to sound noobish but i am hahahahaha
but what is so special about the hotwires that makes them useless with an aftermarket ignition system

You get what you pay for....don't get the cheapest ones, and you don't need "high performance" ones, they won't do anything more than oem toyota wires....
