I gave the Silver Alpine to the GF and bought a new deck to replace it the Alpine CDE-102. I've been using flash drives for music storage since it has USB-in - I like it alot, no silly skipping CDs.
I wanted more than just the deck power for the fronts & rears so I bought an Alpine KTP-445 to help balance out the system. This is a class D plug-n-play amp for Alpine that gives you 45 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms. It's tough to see where I installed it, but it's installed on a custom bracket just behind the glove box. I used flame retardant split tubing for all wiring in the dash.
it's 25W RMS X 4, but with the amp it makes it 45W RMS x 4. I love this system, it was a bit pricey though - just under 1k for everything. I had to buy it piece by piece which is why it took so long to build.
hahaha :cheers I'd love to have an Alpine in dash LCD, but the thieves... and I have a vert :aargh Most of the system is tucked, so it seems to keep them away :fingersx
LOL, if I add anymore electronics I'll need a bigger alternator :roll My headlights dim enough when the sub hits :hehe
use the alt from a 3sge motor. thats what im running and i also run a cap as well...mine dont dim one bit
I plan to, I had to buy a new 1 a couple weeks ago for the GT-S :roll I have a rockford fosgate 1f cap, never bothered to install it though ops
Wow, come do my System now yeah? My speakers did not work one bit 5 months ago. Then I went to the yard and pulled 2 front boston speakers and the 2 big bulky ones from another Celi. Today, those speakers are going to crap. They are starting to sound badly blown and the rubber thing at the rear speaker is cracked giving it that sound. Within a year they will probably end up like the original speakers I had in here. Plus the wiring is going to crap too. I think there's a faulty connection some where with the wires. The front speakers started going bad first. Then the rear speakers. But that's what you get with junkyard speakers :banghead Only thing I have goin for it is some 12' woofer boxes with some guitar amp speakers in them haha. They work fine, but it's so ghetto.
i ran two 12 house speaker for about a year or so....sounded hella nice....but too up the entire hatch in the daytona. and also i just picked up an off brand double din dvd player....looks sick.
i got my vert like that, except i put in 6x9's so i cut some of the sytrofoam housing away and used the speaker cover for it on the outside
