has anyone put one of these into a st162? i can find a ton of these for cheep.
i was planing on boosting the 3sge but if i can swap then easier for me!

I've only found 1 gen1 3sgte but comes with awd trans. that's not going to work in my fwd, i did want to convert but the unibody would have to be modded.

    thanks,

It is possible. the trans is kind of difficult from what I understand however your gts trans will work...The engine is a direct bolt in however the engine wiring loom will need extended. not really that difficult though. much easier and more reliable than turbo'ing a 3SGE or FE

Much easier and probably cheaper too. They're not hard to find, just hit up your local Jap wreckers.

It can work, you've just got to remove the transfer case and fit the blanking plate from an MR2 box to cover the hole.

It's not even remotely worth the time or money, you'd be far better off just buying a GT4/All-Trac

the gts starter runs along the block, im sure that would be where the ct26 likes to sit no?

yup the 3s-ge trans won't work because the turbo is in the way of the starter..and i'm pretty sure you'd want the turbo instead :p

5s-fe trans (s54) will work, everything from sensors/axles/mounts/pressure plate/clutch will swap over. however, even better to use a solara v6 trans (e153)
