    Hi

I've got an Miami Soundworx USA Pure Class A Amplifier MCA 2100, but I can't seem to find very much info on the amp, or Miami Soundworx, anyone heard of this amp?

    Specs:

    Power Rating: 95W*2 @ 4 Ohms
    165W*2 @ 2 Ohms
    375W*2 @ 1 Ohm
    Distortion: 0,035% THD @ 1KHz
    Freq. Response : 15Hz-30KHz
    S/N Ratio : >101 dB (a-weighted)
Input Level : .15-3.5 volts RMS
    Input Impedance : 47K Ohms
    Output Impedance: >.1 Ohms
    Power Source: 11.5-15 Volts DC
Level Control: .25 dB(left and right)
    Operating temp: -10 - 80C
    Idle Current: 4.5A

Good amp for an RF punch HE 12"? It seems to be working fine :)

numbers wise that looks like a nice amp.

  3. For subwoofer use that amp should do just fine. Make sure you use good sized Power and Ground wire if you bridge it though. Low resistance loads will set off the protection circuit.

What does it mean that it's a "Pure Class A"?

as I've been told Class A and Class B can be used for speakers but can be set to run subs as well. Class D is a mono block/single channel designed for subs only. Pure Class A might not let you adjust the low pass/high pass?

  7. Class A refers to the power circuitry. These amps are very clean without alot of distortion, noise or clipping when running mids and highs. They are best suited to frequencies above the 100hz mark. You can run a Subwoofer down to 20hz just fine with them but they run hotter and you need to be sure they can draw the current they need (amps). They are less stable when bridged as well. But I wouldn't be concerned with that too much unless you are running it at the ragged edge all the time.
