Look what I found at the scrapyard today!

So I finally went to my local scrapyard today; well 2 of them, still another one to go to tomorrow and I found a 88 or 89 Celica GT but was under 4 other cars so was almost completely squished but just as I was about to leave I saw this Alltrac and rushed over to it. At first I thought it was a GT-S until I popped the hood.

Anyway the rear calipers on my GT-S have seized and are constantly rubbing on my rotors so I need replacements so I was wondering if the calipers from this alltrac will work without modifications (given they're in decent condition - until I have the money to buy brand new ones)? If so I'll be grabbing those if they are not asking too much for them.

Didn't realize until I looked at the pictures when I got home that someone had beat me to it and grabbed the bumpers and side skirts....damn them. I'll probably be taking the taillights tomorrow ($80 for both) but if someone wants other parts I can grab them tomorrow as long as you're 100% interested in buying them. The interior colour is that maroon colour and is nearly complete; lol still has the key in the ignition.

 

Unfortunately no. It's what I was hoping for. Would have grabbed it for sure; either use it for myself or sold it to someone on here. Though there's another junkyard next to the one I was at today and looks to have triple the amount of vehicles so keeping my fingers crossed for Celica's there.

 

Yeah I know. I hate to see a beauty such as that sitting in a scrapyard; it wasn't even in an accident. Probably a write off for some reason. It honestly looks to be in very good condition; just a little rust here and there. If I had some money I would just buy the whole thing. There was even a mint condition Nissan 300zx there; auto though, not a dent on it.

I think the headlight covers were in very good condition but I give them a better looking at tomorrow. I'll also take a bunch more pictures with a better camera.

Yeah I'm about to leave to go there and yeah I'm gonna see how much he would want for the engine and I'm also gonna ask, just for the hell of it, how much for the whole car...I hate to see it just sit there and slowly get molested. No idea where the heck I'd put it but want to try and save it.

 

Dammit, Hey Jake is it that huge scrapyard that is just off the highway in Abbostsford with that pink car sitting on top the sign? We drove by it but the time we got there on the way back it was closed. When we go pick up the supra at the end of the month we'll definitely be stopping by there. If you could get some pictures of the 4th gens there that would be awesome; give me a better idea of what I could grab off them to make it faster. Also did you see any MKIII supra's there (the one my friends getting is an '87)?


Also for that Alltrac I found at the scrapyard yesterday there is no chance in getting parts from it because when I went back there today one of the workers saw me taking stuff off it and said that I had to put it all back and leave that section because it was ICBC (insurance company) lot and nothing could be taken because they were still people's cars. I took the front trim piece that says C E L I C A and bought it yesterday but I now have to return it which is stupid.

 

Ah okay, didn't know Abbotsford had more than one yard...sweet :mrgreen: . Parts I am trying to find would be fenders and quarters. Mine are rusty around the wheel wells so if there is rust free panels I would be interested in those (unlikely though). Colour doesn't matter. Also looking for doors; rust free and dent free too if possible. For that alltrac kit; I'd be interested in the front bumper if it's in good condition or if the other 4th gens have a mint lower front air dam (that black trim piece below the bumper); as mine isn't in the best of shape. Also looking for the cup holder that the post facelift's had; took out the one at the scrapyard today but had to put it back given it was ICBC's car. There's a bunch of other parts but can't think of them right now :mrgreen:

That'd be awesome if you could get pictures. Only thing electrical that I can think of right now would be a set of tail lights...ones from the alltrac if they're in mint condition...my left one is cracked.
