On the rear of the engine there are 2 supports running from block to intake. On one of them there is a vacuum line cuppling thing, what is it for?

Mine was connected from nothing to nothing, just pointless vacuum lines to nowhere.

Also, is there still a topic on battery relocation? Is the wiring pretty simple? Ground all the grounds to the body and run wire from the positive terminal to the fuse/old terminal contact?

the vacme thingy your thinking of, is the fuel pressure vsv, it hooks to the pres regulator, and to the intake, and battery relocation is stupid easy, just get bigger (and i mean a fuck load bigger) wire to compensate for the electrical resistance, considering where you put the battery

ive got some house wiring here, not that heavy gauge but if I quadruple it up its a pretty low gauge summed up.

man dont use house wire....... the shits solid strand, and is crap.. use fine strand, 2 under, hell welding cable will do. but the size of the wire depends on where your putting the battery. im going with 2 under, its about $100.00 for about 15' of it... princess auto will have it, and electrical outlet stores.

    Seconded.

I bought the relocation kit from Summit for $40 bucks. Came with a battery box, all the necessary wiring and hook ups. Only problem was the box wasn't big enough for an Optima.
