I found this when I was doing the piano wire fix for my heater valve... the wire was already cut and im not sure if this came from factory.... this module is located above the pedals...
As far as I know there was no factory alarm/security option on 4th gens. I don't think the Big Green Book has any info on it. I can't find any.
never seen that before. so no, not part of the system i have. i think the alarm is what you would call a dealer installed option. so it would be the same system if you got a camry, 4runner, whatever from the dealer with an alarm installed. just guessing at that because ive seen a few cars in the yards with the same button, and the alarm i have has a ton of extra wires. so probably a one alarm fits all bit. -i also cant find any info/wiring diagrams on it....for that matter i actually cant find the alarm since i moved. probably still in a box.
