well i think that this troublesome 4th gen has beat me. recently i have been overcome with the thought of having to re-install the ignighter, coils, power steering, cooling and trannie lines , and whatever elese i need to pull off this swap, with no guide to go by. since my engine bay is completely empty (except for the rack and pinnion) it makes it a definate chaleenge for me since i have no idea where to start. (i havent done this extensive of a swap yet) so i though i would consult the 4g crew to help solve this problem

    thanks

well you can search this website or www.celicatech.com :wtg:

and find some manuals or instructions for help (on those sites), all missing parts can be located at a car wreckers yard, or ebay or soemthing.

the power steering setup can be a bit of a bitch but yeh you should find some instructables etc...

Perhaps if allblack's got some extra time he'd come give you a hand with that?? You'd have to compensate ($$) him for his time but it would be worth it for the 4th gen! :D

well i have the manual on the 86-93 celi' but, it doesnt really cover a whole lot on those steering and clutch lines. and i havent heard from allblack since i bought her. around the littlte town im in the only 4th gen in the wreckers is the one that i sent there lol, all the lines are pretty rotted ecept for the 2 power steering lines comeing out of the steering box about the only good lines in the entire engine bay, and mafix i will get a pic of the engine bay when i head ot to pick up some parts from the old car. (it will be next week sometime) and no there is no engine in the car

i appreciate the thought rye, i can do the install if i had all the parts and had a layout of where they went, and mephtar the manual i have is the haynes, it doesnt even touch on the subject of ignighter install or any lines install (ecept for brake and fuel) my haynes motto-: " you have to keep in mind that when this book was made most if not all of these cars were still on the road needing minor repairs"

The Haynes Manual for our cars also covers the 5th gens, so in some parts it gives very generalized info. Overall though, it's always good to have.

yeah the manual has come in handy, when i first bought my gt it really came through to give me a lot of information, but i dought that the publisher had a 3s-gte swap in mind when they wrote the book

My suggestion...just download all the BGB's that are on celicatech....theres not much that isnt covered in the factory manuals. The haynes and chiltons manuals are just to vague on some things.

but thanks for all the help guys, i think once i upload a pic of my engine bay it will go a lot smoother
