So, I have a 86gts and all the engine grounds are missing and someone had cut the pig tail off the harness for the dizzy,(red, black, green, yellow) I have a matching one but the wire colors are different(red, black, white, white&red). So if someone could post pictures of the grounds and possibly yelp with the wiring issue I'd be very grateful.[HR][/HR] I'll post a picture of the wires later I'm on my phone currently.
Ok, sorry i toom so long to reply. I was looking at my wiring diagram and it said the green wire is the 2nd, black is 1st, red is 3rd and white. Is 4th. But on my distributor the wires go g,r,y,w. If someone could tell me which wire is which cylinder I could have this settled. And Id post pictures and everything but I can't from my phone for some reason and i don't have a computer.
you can post from your phone, do you have a photobucket account?.......does your phone have good internet? android?.....we really need to see the pics to make sure that we are telling you the right stuff and not making matters worse by saying the wrong combo or something.
You are kind of confusing me because those wire's don't relate to the cylinders ? The following is a picture for an 88GTS (3sge) the 4 wire's go from the ECU to the distributor email me your pictures and I'll post them for you realtimestrategy@aol.com
heres the way it goes on my 88 GTS (3SGE) -green from distributor ---> green in harness -yellow from distributor ---> white in harness -red from distributor ---> black in harness -white from distributor ---> red in harness for ground points I do -1 from altenator bracket to the chassis -1 from starter mounting bolt to chassis the 3sge harness also has a ground that connects to the back of the intake manifold
Ok so i sodered the wires and made sure everything is hooked up. Grounds are good. And not getting any spark. It's turning over but i get nothing.
