Does it have power door locks? If yes, then there shouldn't be a problem. I'm thinking about doing the same thing.
if you have power locks, it's really easy. 4 wires total. I didn't even have to splice anything. if someone wants I can do a writeup.
is power lock where u unlock ur car with the key and both door unlock? if dats so then my doesnt have it, i have to unlock one and reach over to unlock the other
the outside lock on my car is busted...but if you have a switch on the door panel next to the lock, that locks and unlocks both doors, then you have power locks. By the sound of things, you do not have power locks.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure even the Celi's that had non-power locks still have all the wiring for the power setup...not entirely sure on that, ask Mafix or one of the more experienced guys. But you should be able to go to a salvage yard and find a celi with power locks, just take all of that, and wire it up.
I know my 4g when you unlocked one door it unlocked the other was well. If your car has a lock/unlock button then you have power locks, if you don't have the buttons, you don't have the locks.
My drivers side door lock is missing . Not that it matters, as I'm pretty sure nobody would look at my car and say "I want to steal that".
