good job sir. im guessing u didnt enclose the back eh? i was gonna do this for my components but would prefer enclosures. ill throw up pics when it gets warm enough to glass show me a pic with the door closed
didn't enclose the back??? its pretty much sealed...the pod wraps around the back of the existing skin. ANd they've been in for a couple months now and no rattles....they're solid.
looks good, did you end up cleaning it up a bit after that or did you leave it all rough like that? Still, good diy work!
ya I cleaned them up....those pics are right off the bench. I'll get some interior shots once it stops friggin snowing
it only sticks out a couple inches from the stock door pockets...and its right up by the speaker grilles so no I have lots of leg room
Looks like an st-162 model, correct? So did you just nix the front speakers and instead put those in the door panels? Something I might try out...
welcome to the boards xero! I think he might have kept his front speakers in too...but I'm not sure....the more speakers the merrier! (as long as they're hooked up correctly!)
I nixed the front speakers for now....haven't been able to find a good deal on 3.5" quality stuff....and I still have to finish sanding the rear tray and sub boxes before I start putting more speakers in there....one thing at a time
Hmm... well, I've been looking into getting a new system for my car. I would like to replace EVERYTHING, but cost is a factor, so I might just be looking into replacing two of my speakers (rear). I've got an 88GT. Anyone know what size I can put into the back and the maximum wattage/voltage/whatever I should get that my stock deck could handle?
