Just found the DOT one's from the same seller. Link if anyone needs it----->http://www.ebay.com/itm/200mm-H6054...329&pid=100011&prg=1005&rk=1&sd=230186287608&
mind posting a wall output when you get these? based on the glass patterns it should be a staircase-step DOT type of cutoff to light up the road signs. i'd love to see a comparison with the E-code ones with the flare-up type of cutoff
Oh I was just wondering cause I've done a H4 housing conversion with a HID setup. My first housing brand was from Hella and another one was picked up at a local parts store but overall I'd stick with Hella cause of durability And abuse it can take compared to the cheap one that broke due to a little kid smacking it!
i've use it for hid projectors, check my thread in my sig. but most people just stick with putting in hid bulbs. unfortunately, like any other hid kit shoved into a reflector housing, it's subpar performance.
Sorry for the late response. Ordered lights today, so hopefully they will be in by this week or next. How far back do would be best to test the lights? 8 ft maybe?
about. against a flat wall/garage is good. you'll see the cutoff and you'll know what i'm taling about lol
looks good, i don't know if it's the way you're parked, but ideally you want the flat line to be lower than the height of your headlights on the car by maybe an inch or so.
I also did the H4 E Code Conversion. The "pool of light" is amazing, its almost as good as my 2012 Yaris! i am extremely impressed. i would highly recommend this conversion to anyone! here are some pictures / comparisons of the lights. and yes the sealed beam is aimed way to high Left is E code right is GE Sealed Beam GE Sealed Beam Low Beam Hella E Code Low Beam GE Sealed Beam High Beam Hella E Code High Beam
You think these are worth buying? Its the same guy who sells the housing http://www.ebay.com/itm/H4-9003-HB2...641&&clkid=7357489237587445715&_qi=RTM1303752
well, somebody told me pay peanuts get monkees...soo I think such lights are rubbish and I've had them in a car (not put in there by me) and they suck big time such el cheapo lights. As with many parts a good name and reputation like Osram, Philips are well earned and those pay off. Or get HID's in them, many sets nowadays for normal prices. Just find the good set.
Thanks wolf. Guess as the saying goes you get what you pay for. Found these as well. Any thought on which is better? http://www.amazon.com/Philips-9003-...TF8&qid=1367442980&sr=1-2&keywords=philips+h4 http://www.amazon.com/OSRAM-Night-B...094&sr=1-6&keywords=philips+h4#productDetails Phillips is the only one that mentions DOT approved
