Ok this shite is getting to me badly so most know my front axel hubs are totally fooked to buggery and I need a pair of replacements now I'm not being a stingey and buying second hand ones I want to buy new ones. But the only place I can find any is my local Toyota dealer at 200 smacks a side. I'm not realy that keen on paying that much. What I'm saying is there a replacment by another brand some were that I'm just not finding. Or do they have the same hubs as another Toyota? Or do I really have to fork out that m for some new ones........ Cheers Sean. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sad news. That's not even possible. Apparently company's in Australia don't have any for any celica only set they make are for a 88-91 vzv21 camry. Only Toyota supply ST*** front wheel hubs here. I've even made calls direct to suppliers for hubs for other vehicles and they recon there was never a demand so they never made them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
All good. Got a pair on their way. I managed to get a local parts shop looking for some for me and came back with a find. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Could your hubs not be rebuilt? I have rebuilt all my hubs, including extra sets as backup parts for the car..... With a shop press and the replacement bearing and seals, it's really easy to do!
The unit you have there in the photo is the hub carrier. Mine are fine. The hub carrier is what holds the bearings it's the axel hub that I'm after that the driveshaft slides through and it slides into the bearing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Understood, how the hell did you mess up your axel hub? Yeah the picture is of the hub carrier, but I have rebuilt the entire unit and/or units for 2 Celica's, along with pressing in longer wheel studs. Oh and here is the finished product back on the car...... racerb
Ah yep. Well basically the inner race of the bearing is a two piece and well on either side of the car one of this inner races have spun because of bothe bearings being buggered. They have then been spinning on the hub and have warn Dow the hub in the the new bearing would not sion there at all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
