Has anyone figured out a way to deal with the dash bubbling up?

Stig, do recall which page that was on in your thread?
Also, are the dash pads/carpets effective?

At the bottom of the page, still trying to perfect the article addressing

Dash mats do help but it pays to keep the dash lubed, it can't crack if it's moist
I bought a dash mat the other day, it's waiting in Oz for me to pick it up.
I'll def use it in summer and maybe store it in the winter as there's not much
    direct sunlight here in winter

image.jpg I got a DashMat in medium blue a few years ago for my birthday. The dash was already a bit cracked around the vents so I was glad to use it.
