    "Hey all,

I just finished up my custom boost gauge install and thought I'd share. Hopefully this will open up a new spot for the people looking to mount an extra gauge somewhere.

My old boost gauge was an autometer ultralite (silver). I thought it clashed with the factory gauges, so I bought a nice black Blitz boost gauge off ebay. Got it nice and cheap too.

So I decided to mount the gauge inside of the oem gauge cluster.

Basically, the only place it would fit was in the lower middle spot. Therefore I had to move the water temp gauge over to where the factory oil press. gauge is, which I removed since I have an aftermarket oil press. gauge. To get it to fit nice I had to enlarge that middle hole quite a bit. I started off with a file, then carefully used a small cutting blade (kindof like an exacto knife blade) to keep it nice and round and smooth. I also switched out the stock useless boost gauge for a volt gauge from a GTS. Cheap and easy and nice to have.

I also installed 10 LED's which will tell me when my new J&S Safeguard is retarding timing due to detonation. The bottom 5 are yellow, the top 5 are red. I built the circuit for the LED's since I didnt buy the actual gauge from J&S. I also installed 1 blue LED for my water injection, and mounted it right above the fuel level gauge.

I had to rewire a bunch of stuff on the back, which wasnt too difficult. Just a little soldering.

So that was my latest project. I think it turned out really nice.

I will have a night pics and installed pics after tonight sometime. 8)
