Go for the best RMS rating you can afford. Reason? Voice coils will last longer.

I've got a full set of Infinity Reference speakers that were installed in my GT for about 2 weeks before the car bit it. They had pretty good quality for the money. Can't handle too much power, and bass is pretty weak, but they weren't bad at all for the price, and a subwoofer would round them out nicely.

My GT-S came with a nice system, it also has Reference speakers up front.

awesome awesome. hey another question for you guys. my stereo has a tilt feature. but when i mounted my stereo the trim around the center piece covers part of the top of the stereo. i didnt have time to mess with the brackets to see if i can place them further back, but i am wondering how many of you guys trimmed your trim or sanded it or what. also i have this plastic piece that is glued in to where a pocket or tape player would bee. do you guys mount your stereos on the top or bottom? thanks!

I'd mount the stereo on the top, bottom could make it difficult to reach the buttons with the shifter, plus you'd have to reach farther.
