Hey all, So 20k a go i put a new clutch on my car, had flywheel machined and all that. Was working great until 3 days ago when suddenly it just stopped working. On inspection the clutch fork was misaligned, so i fixed this but still no good. Using an inspection camera, i had a look inside the bell housing to see the clutch. And its all working..... The thrust bearing pushes on the spring fingers, and the pressure plate is lifting away evenly on all sides, which i checked by rotating it and looking at the gaps. Nothing looks out of place but it will not disengage which is baffling. So once again hydraulics are working, slave moves about 2cm, thrust bearing is pushing on the clutch and pressure plate is lifting yet i cant disengage clutch. I thought perhaps the pedal isnt pushing it far enough. But with full movement it doesnt even slip. So its not that. Only last thing i heard was something about a bearing on the end of the spline can seize and lock its movement to the flywheel, but surely a siezed bearing couldnt take 100kw and not break! Im trying to solve this without pulling it a part but im out of ideas. Any thoughts guys?
