Possibly going to grab this Swiss Audio 1 f. cap off a local guy for $20. I was doing info/review searches and I really can't seem to find much info on it with the exception of what's on the website of theirs.

No one really sells the swiss caps, what are they junk and/or prone to wear-out quick or something? I've heard of the company, but I don't know of anyone who buys that brand.

a cap is a cap. they either work or don't. make/model doesn't matter. if you trace them down there are 2 companies that make all the caps.

bought a 200w bridgeable amp and 10" sub. I running 260W already. Do you think I won't need it? Seems like alot of current draw for a small stock alt.

I mean u could add tha cap, but dont have to if u choose not to. Wit ur equipment i wouldnt worry bout pullin too much power. Then again eh $20 cap sounds like a deal to me :)

haha I probably shoulda had a cap simply because all my lights dimmed in the 87 when the bass hit. though my battery was a piece of crap, even though it was from Toyota.

I'm running a 300 w bridged amp and I don't need a cap when it's cranked full blast....but it would make it hit a bit harder I suppose, and yeah, $20 ftw

Yeah you really only need a cap for competitions, or if you want to wake the neighbours, or, if it's only $20 :D haha

no...dont use a cap in competition.... it doesnt help, just like a line driver doesnt help (unless your HU is REALLY bad)

how can a cap not help if it holds extra current for when the amp needs it?

    Yep.

Grabbed it before someone else did. I have alot of work to do before I get to that point. Decided to rewire the whole system w/ 8 guage and a dist. fuse block too.
