Any thoughts on Pyle??

    I have a buddy whose got Pyle speakers. Not sure what type, but they don't sound bad.

    Yeah cuz sometimes you buy speakers (legacy, for example) and they look all good because they're rated for 200 w and they're huge and fancy but you get them in your car and they're garrrrbage...

    these are only 25 bucks and that fcsurplus place is only an hour from me...and my front's are BLOWn haha

    Why do they suck so bad only for car audio?

    What's cheap that you'd recommend? I'm not really looking for a primo stereo setup I have a friggin walmart amp and sub in my car...I'm just looking for something cheap, better than stock, that won't blow out on me...

    Infinity Reference. Although they do cost $40, so maybe not what you are looking for. But still, everything I've been told says that they sound great.

    i would recomend crutchfield for finding specs on all car audio stuff then seeing if you can get a better price elsewhere.

    I've done a lot of business with several companies. and some are not the cheapest but the customer service is outstanding.

    fcsurplus.ca is a bunch of losers

    I emailed them because I was going to get those spkrs, for $22.95, but their minimum for shipping is $24, so its like "you cannot make an order for less than $24"

    so I emailed saying they lost out on a sale over $1.05, and she emails me back a complete BITCH saying oh well we make exceptions to people that ask nicely blah blah blah then I said back well I don't care, because a LOT of other companies sell speakers, and they don't have minimums for shipping, so maybe you could say somewhere that you do make exceptions, and she emails me back saying that it wouldn't be an exception if you advertised it so I emailed her back, *breath* saying well basing a business on exceptions is pretty stupid

    im awaiting her response

    not like i really care, and I'm NEVER going to buy anything off of them after that RUDEness from that bitch

    pyle and those kinda companies are basically either oem quality or worse

    Don't buy junk elecs. I made that mistake with this car because I wanted to do the 2 sets in the dash. I'll probably end up buying 2 more sets after the voice coils wear out in year and end up spending more in the long run due to a lack of poor judgement on my part. :( FWIW, my Bostons have lasted like 8 years!

    Yeah...I figured jensen would be junk, but I've had this amp for 4 years, and this sub for 3 years, no problems yet!

    The S/N ration on that Jenson is probably around 60 db's tops in comparison to say Alpine whick ranges from 80 - 100 db's. 20db's of noise is alot and lower quality speakers is def. a hinderance as well. I can hear the noise in my set-up, but I eq the highs a bit so I don't hear it as much. :roll: The lower quality signal wears out speakers faster also. I'm not diss'in you at all, just sharing my oppinion and experiences y'know?
