The last few days it's been hotter than hell, so of course the A/C system has decided to become picky about when it works. I'll be driving with it on, and it will cut off, and the light on the button will flash. When I turn off the car and turn it back on, it will resume normal function. Whats going on? I haven't run across this problem before. Please note that my A/C Idle Up doesn't work either, so is this problem related? Thanks, hope to get this sorted quickly, it's really fucking hot here.
I have been through this on a hot summer just like you! To remedy this, go to your parts store and get a can or 2 of freon. In celica's, the light blinks when there is a insufficient amount of freon in the system. Once i recharged or added freon to the system, the light did not blink anymore. I now have a new issue with my celica's compressor in another thread! :?
Awesome, I already bought a recharge kit when I had my blue Celica. Never used it since it turned out to be the compressor.
