So here we go: This morning i took my trac to the store, about a mile away. It started and ran fine for about half the trip until i got onto the main road and gave her some hell and after hitting 2nd gear it began to hit fuel cut at 4-6 psi in 2nd gear. I immediately backed off and she continued to drop rpm like she was starving for fuel. I gave it a little throttle and it died quicker. It died and i pulled over while i tried to restart her. it cranked it on and off for about 5 mins until finally she started up. I continued on my way to the gas station and went about my business. As i left the station it died again. waited a few and she started. it did this 3 more times until i was a few blocks from home and she wouldnt start. so in frustration i told the might trac to piss up a rope and i hobbled my cripple ass home. I came back 30 mins later to tow her home and she started but would choke out on rev. idled great but nothing good over 2500 rpm. I wasa thinking possible dirty filter but maybe the pump shorted when it hit fuel cut? The tracs been a bad car lately, my 68 mustang behaves better and breaks down less and its almost 50!

Methinks time for a new pump and filter.
Pumps don't do well after 20 years - Hell most EFI cars can't last 20yrs!
Happened to me about 2yrs ago, so it's not just GT4's, new Walbro sorted it
