    1988 Halftrac with 93 3SGTE in NJ $3500

Sad to say, but I'm selling my 1988 Halftrac. One of my daughters needs a small operation and that is the most important! This was my original car when I was 17. I am now 33 and family and house comes first.
I will list the mods first:
1988 Celica chassis, 144k on the body.
1993 3SGTE from Japan with a 1993 JDM MR2 ECU. This ecu is set at 14psi boost from the factory.
1989 3SGE (GTS) trans with about 100k on it.
    Body:
    New front wheel bearings
    New front and rear rotors
Powdercoated rebuild brake calipers (stock) I have ST185 front calipers as well.
Lowered 1.5" Not sure on the spring and stock setup.
6 gauges (Boost, A/F, exhaust temp, oil temp, coolant temp, and air pressure temp)
All interior lights were swapped out for blue leds.
Has an alarm system (Python) with remote start.
Battery is relocated to the truck.
    Engine:
3" stainless steel exhaust (from engine back) Deep as hell.
    3" intake
    Front mount intercooler
    Aluminum radiator
Turbo xs blow off valve (loudest one)
I brought this car to several Maryland meets in the past. We dyno'd the car and hit 318 hp to the wheels.
This car is very fast. I have pinned the spedo at 150mhp and the car wanted to go faster.
I have put a total of 5k on the complete swap in 7 years. I have not driven the car in 2 years and has been garage kept for the entire life.
I am the one the wired the whole car and the swap works perfectly. The car needs to be finished by someone that wants to continue the project.

I live in Clinton, NJ. I am looking for $3500 obo for the car and the rest of my Celica parts I have in my garage. There is a rear diff from one of my old 88 Alltracs, dark blue dashboard and other misc stuff. I would love to keep the car in the family of this fourm. I spent many many hours buying parts, asking questions and learning about our models. The best part is the friendships I have developed over the years.
Please pm me if interested. A lot of guys on this site knows me and the car as well.
    Thank you,
    Chris

You say the car has not been driven in two years. It is because the car is not drivable or you just haven't had time? What else needs to be done to the car?

this car works. the work is excellent and every statement is true. i've been a little involved in this car. i helped chris years ago when he first swapped it. the car hasn't been driven because he simply has not had time. a 2 hour commute to NY one way, 2 hours back, and a wife and 2 children at home. the car is drivable. and yes it is very fast.

Thanks Mafix. I'm very impressed with the work done on that engine bay. Doesn't look like a 'cutting corner' type of job. Since the pics are 6 years old (that is if the dates are accurate) it is still white? Has it been painted since then? I suspect the interior is still black (my favorite interior color) and what about the rims? Rust issues? My current 88 conv originated out of Chicago and, well, I should have addressed it when I first bought it vs later. Chris, possible for you to put recent pics of the car on here (if the pics posted are truly as old as the date says)? A turn key 3stge piques my interest.

Such a nice celica! Sad you have to sell it, but family does comes first. Hope your daughters operation goes well! You said you had some celica parts? Would any of those parts be a rear view mirror?

Hello. The car is still for sale. As Mafix said, the car has been sitting in my garage for the past two years. No time anymore. Need to sell for a small operation.

I actually started it yesterday and runs fine. This was my first car when I turned 17. Now I'm 33. The car has been in the garage since I bought it.

There is no rust on the car! The car needs for be finished. I completed the swap and put 5000 miles on the completed swamp. The stock boost is 14psi on a JDM 3SGTE ECU. No AC

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Hello. Car is still available!

Someone from here please buy it. Don't want to sell it locally to someone who is going to abuse it.

    Thanks!

I would enjoy picking this up in NJ and I can easily request a work flight to New York and drive it back like I did with my Crown Vic from KY in 2011 but down here in southern Louisiana, AC is an absolute must. For me, that is a deal breaker.
