165 bumper, is the metal different then the 162?

So, I have a 165 that I am trying to install an Aeroform kit on. The seller sold me the kit still attached to the correct bumper skin, which I am happy about.

I have removed the original bumper skin and it seems like the 162 skin may not be tall enough to fit the 165 bumper. Does anyone have any knowledge on this so I can confirm it? Front bumpers seem to be the same as the stock skin with Aeroform fit just fine.

All I can tell you is that the 162 and 165 crash bars have slightly different part numbers. You may want to consider removing the 165 foam and installing the 162 foam to see if that makes difference.

The problem is this is with the 162 foam :/ It "seems" like the bumper skin just isn't tall enough to fit. Just wanted to verify that I wasn't overlooking anything before starting a bumper search.

I used to sell coilovers all the time and those were 50lbs. I bet around $75

    K. Give me a day or 2 to verify that is what I will need and that I can't find it locally. Hoping to finish the body kit stuff this weekend, thats the only reason I am not paypaling you now lol.

No worries. I'm in no hurry and it's not going anywhere.
