It's been a while. Who's still here? Let's freshen this place up.

Hey all,

So it's been a while, a good long while. I've been working on my car a lot lately so thought I'd drop in, seems pretty quiet, other than the random Russian spam bot, lol. Hopefully taken care of soon.

Anyway, plan on dropping in more regularly, I've got some updates on my car, make some posts on things I've learned as I've basically rebuilt everything at this point.

So yeah, just saying hi, anyone else still around feel free to say hi back, and let's see if we can liven the place up a little.

 

Hey! Yeah I know. Been super quiet.

I'm currently redoing all my engine bay wiring. All my connectors on my injectors and sensors are cracked and held on by silicone, so I'm looking up all replacements to fix them up.

Also a new head gasket... It blew randomly last week. It's my FORTH head gasket in the life of my car. This time I figure screw it, I'm leaving OEM behind and going metal, going thinner to bump compression up to 10 / 10.5, and I'm putting in studs to replace the head bolts.

My engine was fully rebuilt 50,000km ago so it should be healthy enough to take it, and I get 95-98 ron fuel here so it should be happy.

Once I've found all the bits I'll do some updates in the build section. Hopefully later this week or next week.

 

So turns out I was wrong. Engine man told me hi comp doesn't do anything unless you're running aggressive cams.
Cams make compression lower, therefore you must make it higher to compensate.

So normal gasket and bolts go back in. Parts turn up next week.
