Hey guys, got a really weird issue with the stock factory radio on my 86GTS. There is a click...click...click noise coming from the speakers, even though the radio is OFF and the key is out of the ignition.
I cleaned the radio ground and reconnected it tightly but I still have this clicking noise from the speakers. The only way it stops is if I disconnect the battery. Any thoughts? Anyone ever encounter this before?

Note: the car has been stored for a year and I did not have this issue before I put it away. Maybe it's a short or humidity problem...? I'm baffled but will check all components and speaker connections.

Did you swith the acc and constant power?
How is the grounding, still in order as grounding is an issue sometimes.

The ACC and constant power were fine; it was a block connector. I checked the grounding and it was good connection. Finally, I just swapped in an aftermarket Sony unit and all was fine. Something wonky with the factory unit, I reckon...!
