I can't get any heat in the car. The air that comes out doesn't seem to be ice cold (though it's around -5 C outside), but is cool and doesn't get warm. Ideas?

First check your coolant level, then make sure your engine is actually reaching operating temps (via the gauge)
Then make sure your thermostat is working. The bottom rad hose should stay cool to the touch until operating temp is reached then the thermostat should open and the bottom hose will feel the same temp as the top hose.

    Buuuut....most likely:

on your firewall, a little closer to the drivers side, you will see 2 black hoses going into the heater core from the engine bay. One of them has a valve on it that is run from a cable inside (connected to a linkage which is run by your heat control slider). Check to see if the valve in the engine bay opens and closes when you move the slider form hot to cold. If it doesn't move then open it by hand so you can get heat for the time being...then in the spring try to figure out why the cable isn't moving...usually it is a broken linkage under the dash or the cable has slid off.

Most likely it's bad soldier joints in the control assembly ... A relatively easy repair.
