    ok first some info
87 celica gt vert with 3s-fe and 5spd

I noticed something recently when i took my oil catch can out to empty it. I noticed there is a connector going to the trans and that the wires are pulled out of the connector on the side coming out of the trans. I dont know what the connector is for as the car runs and drives fine and i have no idea how long it has been disconnected. Does anyone have any idea what it does and what wire goes to what?

if the wires coming from trans matched the wires coming into the connector it wouldnt be hard to fix but the colors are different so no idea what connects to what.

thanks in advance for the help

also random side note i found out my car HATES ethonol in the fuel as this is what came out of my catch can after 2 weeks of running 87 octane from sunoco

Looks like the speed sensor (cruise control)

The connector for back up lights and speed sensor are the same on my GTS, are your back up lights working?

i know my reverse lights work and my cruise control has never worked so i took the actuator out.... glad i kept it if this fixes the issue lol. Do you have any idea what wire connects to what? i just dont want to put the wires back together and screw something up

thank you for the help :)

Yeah so it's definitely your speed sensor. The brown wire going to the pigtail is ground, so I'd assume the brown will go to the black wire and the other colored wire will go the blue wire.
