cant seem to get mine to work at all. when i bought the car there was a pile of blue dust/pieces on the floor board, i see in other pictures that it might be a blue sleeve of some sort, is this what is required to move it in and out? or do they just sieze in place
move lever down, pull hard. all 4 st16x i've had all were almost seized. 1 of them was really stuck. pull harder.
i'll try again, i have yanked with my full body weight, maybe i will get someone bigger to try. here is a pic of the blue plastic sleeve, anyone knows what it does? i think it is part number 4581714010 "stopper, steering shaft thrust" is the label on the epc
You need to soak the shaft in WD40 and keep applying it every 20 mins or so. Then clamp the thing down and pull as hard as you can. These where well known for seizing. Maybe its out all the way? try pushing it. all you want is for it to move.
