Hi all! I finally found my Turbo 4WD Celica I've been patiently waiting for! Shes a 88, White exterior on blue leather interior, no sunroof, 184.000km. Seams to have seen little to no winters as the only rust I can find is slight bubbling on the rear quarter... The rear upper strut towers are even spotless! Only issue is a big ol' hole in the block.... I bought it from a kid that didn't realize what he had. I paid $1200CDN for her! Just need a block and head... Here are some pic's of how it looks as of today... Need to clean it up a bit, she a little dusty.
spend another 2 grand and get a front clip.....sell said "didnt need items" and make more than the 2 grand maybe back....nice find tho.
Excellent find! Do those leather seats have power adjustable bustles? my cloth seats do but I dont see the controls for them in your center console. (may just be the angle of the pictures) I can't wait until my 165 is back on the road.
Are you going to put a stock replacement engine that has some miles or have one built and includes a tad more....'oomph' shall I say?
Great find! I've never driven a st165. Would love to, but they are quite rare over here in Norway. Most of the cars which appears for sale have been thrashed and not taken care of.. Wish you good luck with the car. Good idea to keep her original.
