    Looking at a 225/45R16 on wheels size 16X7 +42,
are these going to fit with stock suspension? just thinking about the clearance on struts or will i need spacers? i'm not a huge fan of them but will use them if i have to.

    thanks,

Yes they will fit....you'll need 25mm spacers in the rear to make it look good but not a requirement... i ran 17x7/42 wheels this way.

heres the front on 15x7/40, the only difference is your size of rim.

What would be required to run subaru wheels? i know their hubs are 56.1 and they're +55

you would need 56.1 to 54.1 hub adapter rings, and 15mm spacers to bring down the offset to +40.

25mm spacers all around to make the offset to a nice +30.

If i was able to get some impreza wheels with %75 tread left on tires for $350. Would you say it would be worth the investment in spacers? Also, will an alignment shop align me with those massive spacers on there?

16x7 +40 with 205/50/16 rubs in the front in turns, when the strut bottoms out or gets close. Also, its super tight in the back, I shaved off a couple mm of tire with the strut housing and tire flex. I pumped the tires up to 45psi now no ribbing in back, still getting 5mm spacers as a precaution. Any idea how to stop the front rubbing?

Well since I just invested in brand new tires 205/50/16, you got any other ideas? Will rolling the fender fix it?

it might. you may only need to "roll" the inside lip of the fender. reach just inside the fender and you will feel where the plastic splash sheild attaches. you may need to just fold that flat to the fender. easy enough with pliers or a hammer. before you do that look at that edge carefully, ill bet you can find a spot where shaved rubber has built up. may need to just tweak that area a bit.

-also hows the suspensions condition? a worn suspension could allow extra travel.

Will 15x6.5 stock Celica GT wheels fit 225/50/15 tires, and will they fit on the ST162???

dont think it'll clear the strut.

i have 225-45-15 ventus rs-3's on a 15x7 (stock gen 6 gt-s i think?). iirc its a 10mm spacer on the rear, no spacer on the front. cant even get my finger in between the perch and tire....maybe 5mm clearance.

if your at stock ride height you might with bigger spacers but may rub on hard turns...

-i think a 225 45 is as wide as we can go w/o rolling + spacers. and i think youd need BIG spacers since the tire is really under the perch. maybe need a 20-25mm to clear.....and flares. lol.
