    Well, she's gone now...

Sold to the junkyard for $1500...

Sayonara Celica. It's been a good ride. :(
    You will be missed dearly.
    RIP

It was a real shame. Body was perfectly fine...
The motor was the only issue.

Hopefully, I'll come back in an ST165. It might be a while since I can't afford another money pit yet, but I'll still pop in and out of here every once in a while. :)

Wow, a wrecker gave you $1,500 for it? Amazing! Around here, the most you can get is about $50.
Sorry you couldn't save her, the body looked good. Even just throwing another 3SGE in it would've been ok

Same as Rick said...Wow! Here is Southern La, the wreckers will give $50-$150 to come get it from you. That's why if I'm buying a parts car from someone who is thinking about a junkyard sale, I'll pay about $50 more to ensure I get it. But $1,500? No way I can compete.

^Yeah, I don't think I could get $1,500 for my running cars now!

I dont like the idea of selling a nice looking body to a junk yard/ wrecker.
These cars were ahead of their time and still look good 25 years later.
They deserve to be restored to a driveable condition and enjoyed.

My Celica wasn't being driven enough and even less because further hassle from having a car cover on it, so l could not justify the expense of rego & insurance and let it slide.

Neighbour asked if he could sell it for parts.

    I said NO.

Car is taking up space now (5 months No rego) and just stays under a car cover.
If l was offered $1500, by a wrecker it would be a difficult decision, now.
