    :banghead
all that work only amounted to 100lbs. it was all in the front...but only 100lbs? why do i find this so hard to believe. mabye it's because it was just so much work? i know the scales are right...i just don't want to.
then we played with the suspension more to better balance the car and guess what? we raised the front of the car 1/2" and as far as weight balance was concerned it did nothing! we were simply floored at this. literally the numbers were within 2 lbs. astounding.

new alignment. i'm very happy with these numbers and how it performs. racing tomorrow with a gopro. i'll get some vids up.

    front camber -1.4
    front toe 0.0
    front caster 2.8
    rear camber -1.2
    rear toe 0.1

i didn't think this much caster was possible without cutting the structure.

    new corner weights:

    rf 806
    lf 897
    rr 493
    lr 506
    total 2702 w/65% fuel w/ driver (i weight 210)

measured height (driver out of car, sway bars are set at zero preload)
    rf 5.25
    lf 5.0
    rr 5.625
    lr 5.75

the ride height was measured off my frame connectors, behind the front wheel and in front of the rear wheel. hopefully this will help some of you guys out in the future. the ride height measurements are not dead even because of the spring heights. to properly balance the weight you have to have the passenger front and drivers rear spring height higher than the opposites. but it's close enough. the alignment however...is dead even.
and the car was weighed on a $2K scale set that is used for just what Pat and i did, and nothing else. i've also checked his scales against a large scale at MIR and they are within 10lbs of each other. safe to say something that measures thousands of pounds being within 10lbs might as well be dead on.

Where you getting wheelspin, understeer etc?

I still like the "Daytona Look" - should be easy for you to make up in your shop

in due time. i have to break them in first to measure breakin time properly. i'm not sure how long that may take me since i don't drive her that much.

well to date i've used the headlights twice. these ballasts require a very good ground. other than that, no complaints. i really need to just get the car to the shop so i can align the lights properly.

pics of my new front racing tires. the 215's are going in the back

the new front tires are an inch wider contact patch than the 215s. at my last race i was 1 second behind the fastest prepared car. which is great news and the part i'm working on now is tires. i've pushed what i had past it's limit. i've talked to my sponsors and they all said they are in on race tires for next year!!! awesome!

so i'm hoping that i can run regionals next year and be competitive. i've come a long way and the car has signifigantly transformed. i still need to install the 1K injectors and retune her and try and get a bit more torque out of her. and i still need to tear down the engine compartment and lighten up the entire underhood stuff. so i'm looking foward to a ton more work...insert sarcasm here. i also want to redo the body, lighten it up a bit more, and repaint the car. then it's time for real vynal sponsor stuff. i will no longer use any sponsor sticker unless they have given me money or incentives. hopefully i can get 89celicagt to come down and do a proper vynal job on the car since i want protective vynal on it as well.

perhaps steve!well i finally got the new injectors installed. what a MF that was. god i hope to not have to touch them for a long time. ID injectors are very hard to install with the stockish rail. but luckily i did this at work and about the 30th time/revision we finally got her done. i've been tuning all night and on the drive home (1hr). off to SRT for a boost tune and then it'll be good again.
