it will pass, mine is from aprill 86 and regulations went up in june that year ;). But ... as I have to go to the most strict ones as I adjust the power on paper as well...I will still be anxious :)

well, at least you dont have to go through the process of having the government going through your car to make sure its all stock like we have to do here if we want to have it street legal.... :byodood

today I found my battery bracket from the ST165 and decided to remove all factory plastic (plastidip?) and replastidip it :)

Got it clean today, but seem to have misplaced my plastidip can...so will finish it some other day :)

    plasti dip sucks...

even after I primered it it didn't hold on my bracket...so that is incredible ! Temp was good, plasti dip was good, original plasti dip primer was good...result sucks. I will mount it anyway as I want my car driving now but will get this off when the car is back home to paint it instead.

Maybe I just had some bad luck but I doubt I will use it again.

It needs some experience. You have to apply a thin layer at a time, and let it dry between the layers. It takes about 5 layers for me to cover things properly. My first try was a mess too :(

I understand experience and I applied 2 layers but somehow parts look perfect and other parts look like the moonsurface...And I applied the first layer when primer is still wet as it says on the can..

Maybe I will try again on something else first. :)

Yea, I made some experiments at first too :) i haven't tried their own primer, but from what you say it sounds it was more wet on those places, but it's also strange to me that they say to spray it on wet primer. I got the moon surface effect when I sprayed too much at a time :)

Today my car passed it's yearly inspection again and is road legal !!!

All I have to do (in january) is go take the car for a horsepower change on the papers. I am waiting if I take stock figures or take it on the dyno first for real figures on the papers...

I used a heatresistant spray which can be sprayed over rust preventing more rust to come. After I got rid of most of the rust of course by sanding it.

I probably end up using yellow lights in it as I just think that looks cool with my car.
