Worked on the celica again today. Interior is almost done and back in place except for the drivers side lower part as it is easier to access the fusebox if needed now. Except for the IC pump which I received today, all is in :) and we started her up again today. Thanks to Alwayz sending me his NGK Powerleads !!

All we got was a code 54 which is the IC Pump ECU so that's a good start :)

The car ran rough stationairy so that's to find out what's going on. Next time put in the IC pump and the ST185 fuelpump and if the 3" exhaust is done ready for a first roadtest I guess :)

Please tell me what's on this connector??? It's on the passenger side kick panel or whatever you call it :) and is different from the loom of my GTS which is under the front fender...we didn't exchange that part as it is a terrible job to take off with the bodykit etcetera...
I didn'thave a signal from my gastank as well, the fuel level didn't show....

@Kevinkyang, it has been black for many years allready. Changed the brown interior as soon as I decided to strip down my st165 about 4-5 years ago :).

Can't wait to get it on the road, new powerestimate on the official papers for the insurance and get driving !

    Hello

    will work you've done

a question: it is necessary to change the entire electrical installation, or just the engine electrical installation

    thank you very much

I changed the interior from pre facelift to facelift that is why I did it. I guess normally only the engine wiring should be enough.

    thanks everyone ! :)

@kevinkyang : I sprayed multiple parts black that were originally brown...nobody ever noticed this, even myself when taking it apart thought..ow this was brown too? :)

So my advice is to spray it all, maybe use a carpet for the dash itself which you can buy online? I know where to get a black one, but shipping is not doable due to weight and size overseas...

oh look out, there's a bit of 'man love' in the house :mrgreen

Your right, that dash is a tad shiny for me, I need to buy a new dashmat....... Sun glare and cracking can be an issue.

mechanic was visiting today, things not yet working on the dash:
    Fuellevel
    Boost (aftermarket meter works fine)
lights (makes sense as dimmer is not yet plugged in)

Would these things be connected to the loose connector I showed the picture of?

that loose connector is also loose in my car. doesn't seem to do anything...also, swap out the fuel gauge itself from your old dash and see if that works.

that's a thing to try indeed

but I was guessing some elecctrical issues.

We'll sort it out somehow , The engine is running smooth now by the way :)

Goal is to be all done next week.
