Well did a bit more to my car this weekend,Rich (Alwayzsidewayz) and Doug kindly came down to mine and along with Ady another gen4 owner we had a productive day ,remedied my leak which was a seam opening up on the bulkhead area, stripped a load of parts from the donor 162 i have ,and fitted a complete interior into my car.Happy days! the donor car is rotten bodywise but the blue seats front and back are excellent,so we transferred them over to mine, but not before we fitted a complete carpet set i sourced a while back;its in brilliant condition from a car that had obviously not suffered any leaks so i finally have carpet and decent seats!Woop!

Donor car slowly disappearing...5 spd manual 'box to come out, probably remove the inlet manifold etc and put up for sale, rear lights tailgate and few small items and then she'll be off to the gen4 resting place in the sky.Sad but has been brilliant for a load of parts, and has helped out other gen4 owners too so alls good. The cams have gone to Trinity as has some trim parts,Ady has used some trim too.. CelicaSteve has the electric window motor and switch for his beauty,as i have the seats it also meant that my rear seats that i did have in my car have gone to Trinity too,so the car hasnt gone to waste, its also allowed me to donate bits i no longer required that were in good condition just that i couldnt use them anymore. We do help each other out a lot when we can,its a great group weve got over here.

Well luckily i havent had any major works need to the car,but i found that the discs i put on last year have warped already :aargh .Luckily i had manged to purchase some parts from a friend over on CCUK who unfortunately was selling up,he hadn't got round to fitting quite a few bits so he sold them to me.Result.
Full set of front and rear Black Diamond drilled discs, with Pagid fast road pads, all boxed, new and unused.Plus i got a full set of Toyota workshop manuals, engine and chassis/electrical :plus an assorted box of new unused parts such as ball joints, wheel bearings, timing belt kit, outer CV joint,Bosch spark plugs, etc.
So got the new discs on,now theyve bedded in a bit theyre a great improvement on the stock ones id fitted last year.

I also had some rust on the top of my tailgate/hatch,so due to Rich breaking Trinity ( :sad ) i now have her tailgate on my car, perfect condition and colour match too.Cheers mate.

All i needed now was to fit some decals to the rear, exact copies of factory type but with a small change to match the rest of the cars white decals that i had made up.

Id removed the large decal that i did have on the front lip, resprayed it nice gloss black again and added a small TwinCam decal to finish off as you can see, same as the one i added to the rear, just a liitle change that i fancied.Think it looks quite cool.

And a little one on the glass for those in the know LOL
    [IMG]

You can see the side decals i now have in these shots taken at a local meet couple of months ago,all nice and polished!Though the front lip decal as i said is now removed.I like these shots though, the guy who took them made her look brilliant.

Well pleased, just love driving the car and i do get comments from people from time to time ,even had a guy in a classic Porsche with the top down this summer comment how good it looks while we were sitting at the lights. :cool
And to top it off,she picked up Best gen4 2011 in the Celicaclub.co.uk awards this year, perhaps a few members havent seen Steves car in the flesh or something but like i said,he can't keep winning it every year,he'd get bored im sure.. :smilielol5 .Well chuffed though, considering the state she was in a year or so ago! :byodood

LOL that would be nice....it is my long term plan to have some useable power...i'd have been tempted to buy Chris' BEAMS unit actually over on CCUK if id had the money last month, very nice reliable extra power, like lion's car on here.But...yeah i miss boost and to have it in a 162 would be a great thing to do so a -GTE donor is still on the cards one day.

tbh I am even impressed with the rev 3 ge lump in me gen 6, be cheap upgrade too for a 4th gen.

300bhp useable bhp in CJN sounds fun though!! lol

Cheers Sean,i was lucky in some respects that i didnt have to deal with the lacquer issue that you seem to have, but its just been a slow build up of replacement parts,a lot of luck ,hard work and a lot of help! It'll never be a show car but i am very proud of her as she is.Not sure if ill have 300BHP going throught the front wheels though lol.Was toying with an idea of even a rev2 lump.just over the 200BHP and less work i believe than the rev3 and its associated parts?

rev 3 ge and your sorted... im sticking to my gen 1 , i want to have the first street 3sge gen 1 with 200bhp , my car looks bad at the moment, but there is a LOT of goodies in it and it still has more to come, but the body is the main issue at the moment!

Cheers guys,I've got her. off road at the minute,PAS pipes finally killed itself,as did the alternator, though that's easy fix.not looking forward to the PAS though!
Before that though I went with some local friends to a Dyno Day,she achieved 141.3 bhp and 115.7 WHP,not bad for 24 years old!I asked the tester about fuel mixtures etc etc and he said the engines sweet, smooth power curve so really pleased!
