So my mother inlaw drives my GTS. So today she comes over with it and its puking oil from what looks to be everywere. Its missing. Sounds like a WRX when you rev it. Also spitting oil from dipstick. Oil all over front of engine were dip stick is. Puddle of oil on Trans. Which is weird. Whats the deal.

Could be one of four things:

    > Oil overfilled............... Checked empty
    > Clogged PCV...............Would be nice if this was issue
    > Blown Headgasket........ Oil and coolant not mixed
    >Broken Piston Ring......... Would explain the missing.

Sadly Im thinking its Piston rings. What do you guys think it might me. It does idle smooth.

Yes the oil was changed couple months ago when I replaced the oil pump. Would be about time to change it. I live off of farmington and 160th

Maybe u might have a failure in the pump and its not working correctly....do u have good pressure at idle.

This is extreemly vague, you'll need to wash the motor 1st and then watch where the leak is -
Checked the pan gasket for leaks?
Checked the oil filter & cooler takeoff for leaks?
    Checked cam gaskets for leaks?
oil getting into the plug holes?
Also oil getting into the distributor via a leaky seal?
Is it an auto? could be a hose leaking
    Is it smoking?

Sounds to me like a cam cover gasket leak, pesky philips screws always coming loose?
If the dipstick is spitting, did you check to see if the holder hadn't worked loose?

A high rev miss could be electrical or, plug gap, oily plugs or dist etc
A broken/leaky valve would not idle
A busted valve seal would cause starting problems & much smoke
Busted rings would be difficult to start & smoke

    ????? what's empty

if it's blowing oil out then it's either rings or a headgasket.

-blown h.g. then loss of oil would lead to wasted rings.

Well I havent looked into it to deep. She said that everything was fine on freeway. She got off to come to my house and smoke was coming from emgine bay because it puking oil. She went to the gas station put a quart in. She made came here. It sat for a couple hours till I got off work. Went and looked at under car when I got off. To puddles from each side of the engine. About 10" in size each. I couldn,t tell were it was coming from but looked to be from everywhere.

Its a 5speed. I started it. No smoke, no abnormal noise. But when I hit the gas it was like it was clearly missing. Sounded like boxer motor from the exhaust whem you reved it. Still no abnormal sound from engine. Mother inlaw pulled dip stick to try to show me the oil was low and I told her you cant do that when ita running. Thats when I noticed that when you pull the dip stick past the seal it would sprits oil out the tube. I dont think its ever done this.

For the record oil pump, oil pan gasket, timing belt, valve cover gaskets, and a tune up, have all been done recently for inspection, so it was running top notch with no oil leaking up until last night. Im hoping its pcv but then why would it miss.

So went out and tinkered with it. I sprayed down the engine so I can check that when it drys. But my finding is the breather hose that goes from the valve cover to the throttle body. In the past if I pull the hose off the valve cover there was suction. Thats how I did my seafoam. But now, No Suction. The valve cover blows out air and smoke when you rev it. If I plug it, It blows smoke out of everywere in the engine bay.

I want to clarify no smoke from exhaust. But does this mean PCV is clogged. Please god let it be that.

Sounds like T/B is clogged, everything else sounds normal for a high mile motor.
I still think there's a gasket leak somewhere as well

The blowing smoke/spitting indicates worn/gummed rings but I don't think thats the main problem atm

Yes the TB is clogged. So whats the best way to fix this issue. New TB from the Junk yard?

Try cleaning with carb cleaner and a compressor.

Might be better to remove & soak it in solvent 1st
    Seen the leak yet?
