Thanks for the input. I think I might just put some fog lights down below and wire them to turn on with the pop-ups. Winter is coming soon and need lights that will actually go through bad weather.

Finally got some time off to start work on the motor. I've degreased and washed the new manifolds and given them a coat of grey primer. So hopefully doing top coats tommorow. Will post pics when finished. :)

Ok guys I have started to remove my t-vis to replace with my new manifolds. I have realised that the only way to get to the nuts for the manifold is to go in from underneath!!! can anyone tell me that if I support the lower wishbones with axle stands can I remove this cross member to gain access to the nuts or will my car collapse without it?????

Use the jacking points, the brace is there for a reason
Without it there is a chance of bending something and you need room to crawl around in

    Thanx for the advice Stig.
Any thoughts on getting injectors cleaned ultrasonicly. Found a company that does it for £11.50 each. was wondering if its worth doing while I have them off??

    Re: Bluestreaks ride

Oh yeah, I'd jump on that price, try to get them flow tested if you can

Looking at your pic, our AT160's have that extra weight attached but the ST's don't

Definitely have the injectors cleaned. I had them cleaned on my previous 86 model, drove like brand new!

    Re: Bluestreaks ride

Thanx guys I thought it sounded like a good price. This is what I get for the service

Micro filter, O ring seals and pintle caps are removed if able to be replaced / renewed.
Check that all the injectors share the same part number.
Check that each injector has the same coil resistance.
Injectors mounted on the flow bench and a leak test performed.
30 seconds at up to 5 bar pressure with the injectors closed.
Flow rate testing at either 2 or 3 bar pressure. 50% duty cycle for 30 seconds.
Check spray patterns in a static (wide open) mode.
Check spray patterns in dynamic (pulsed) mode at a set open duration and speed.
Injectors are placed into the into the ultra-sonic cleaning tank for a minimum of
30 minutes. During this time the injectors are also electrically pulsed.
Leak, Flow test and Spray pattern checks are re performed.
Filters, O rings and pintle caps that were removed are renewed if available / stocked.
Injectors placed in numbered bags and a standard report issued.
