today i crashed :( and a geo metro saved my ass

Hey all, today i was in the mountains having some fun with friends on a road that was for the most part clear and drivable, however there was one spot that was snow covered, and well you guessed it i slid off the road and crashed into a rock wall and ditch, I was then rear ended by another car, my poor celica is now stuck in the mountains in a ditch with some body damage and my folks may make me selll her... sad5 sad5 i feel like shit...

i know i feel the same way, but i think she is repairable seems to be only cosmetic but you never know,

i hope i can bring her back, she was running like a champ before the wreck and after when i was trying to free her from the ditch under her own power so will see...

thanks man i will most def it looks pretty minor but the trunk worries me, other than that just minor dings and dents, as far as i can see

thanks for the support guys and sadly i may have to sell. the damage is more than the car is worth and the insurance company may just write it off, if that happens my folks tell me i have to get rid of her, ill figure this out tho.

and i had to crab the car out of the ditch because the come along broke and hit me in the leg, i have a hairline fracture i think, hurts to walk or but weight on the leg



edit: the only under body damage is the oil pan, just power washed the undercarriage and took it to a family mechanic and put it up on a lift, alignment and oil pan are the issues the fluids i saw were a result of the extra fluids i put in and spilled in the mountains! im so revealed!

yeah i know insurance just said they wont pay a penny, so the car still has a good title, and ill probably repair it and get her back on the road by next week hopefully

yeah she seems to be alright, drives fine and doesn't make any weird noises. and repairing it seems to be okay i just got it checked by a mechanic the only damage is the oil pan the excess fluids were from me putting them in, in the mountains, the alignment needs to be fixed and the oil pan will be welded up 2maro hopefully the body damage is minor and the chassis is fine.

i did!! i can keep her! :mrgreen: i just have to pay for the repairs so yay diy body work and diy repairs!!! :razz:

 

i know im excited i get to buy myself the body and paint ive wanted sense i bought the car only a few months earlier than expected

and i live in the city the road is about a hour and a half drive away from downtown Denver i live about 10miles further south from downtown Denver the drive took about a hour and forty mins and that road is absolutistly amazing, its nick name litteraly is Oh My God Road, and i garrentee i said it several times this time down it and my first time down, it gets narrow and scary midway through its all dirt and about 1 car length wide, i was driving bout 35 down that stretch and that was scary enough, and the end bit where i slid off is only about half a mile from Idaho springs Colorado. and massive potholes are a bitch i feel your pain,
