I got my wheel bearing in and went for a rip around town. I had a feeling and a thought and both of them sickened me to the bone. I am un-impressed with my 165. Yeah once she spools she makes some ok speed but torque, wheres the torque! It breaks my heart to know that a car i've spent so much time on has lack luster performance to me.

    :( :( :(
Thats not good, is it a case of the car just not doing it for you anymore, or are you feeling you want to get it faster?

a little of both i suppose, i've sunk almost $8,000 into this car and it just doesnt seem to do it for me. maybe im expecting to much from the 1st gen GTE. I've got the 5s crank, 3sge exhast cam, a full 3in exhaust, forged internals HKS turbo timer and Boost controller making 13psi, supra 550 injectors. I need torque the car is fast top end but it just doesnt have any snap low and mid. My litte 4age in my mr2 snaps harder than my trac.

Doesn't seem right to me - dyno time methinks.

    what engine management?
you do have to remember the AWD keeps the snap down low.

Hahaha problem solved, im a freakin moron. My plugs were crappy bosch ones. I replaced them with some toyota spec. NGk's. Cars got a lil more "oomph" to it now. I think i've just been expecting to much from the car. Shes heavy as hell so thats the reason theres no mad torque outta the gate. I'm just not used to an all wheel drive platform i guess, my trac just needs a diet. I've got a factory ecu by the way too mafix, i'd love to go standalone i just cant afford it but maybe one day

...or just has no hope of accurately fuelling a 2.2 on larger injectors. If you're way rich like I would assume, it's no wonder you aren't getting a lot of torque.

if your running 550 injectors on a stock ecu thats your problem its too rich ,do you have a wide band a/f

Running rich wasnt my problem, dirty injectors was. I pulled al of them last night and they were FILTHY! only one had a decent spray pattern the rest were spitting and dripping. Ran them through our inector cleaner at work and they work awesome. I got me some low to mid range torque but now i have antoher problem, the little hose that goes from the oil pan to the turbo oiling system, is cracked and leaking and we cant order one from the dealership, anyone have any ideas?
