what do you guys think about some advertising on here? i know i don't like it but it will build some cash flow.
i for one would not like ads everywhere i go. thats the reason i like this site. i dont try to be sold something when i post. however. maybe an advertising section could be created, solely for that. that way it keeps it off the clean look of the site, but then ads and links can be posted for all to see.
can see both the pros and cons of advertising. If they can be relevant, worthwhile companies, I dont see the harm, but agree hate adds that pop up in between posts on topics. I have to say, I dont really use alltrac, I know I should, but I find it way to much 5th gen for me.
Advertising I don't see any harm in advertising provided it's relevant to the site and non-aggressive. Most sites start out that way and then keep adding ads to the point where the site becomes a pain to use.
I agree with Stig... I don't mind the advertising, but love how there isn't any on the site... Not sure how you would go about having the advertising on chosen pages though... hmm... they would have to be related though, and PG of coarse lol
I do not like the idea of having ad's unless they are perhaps site sponsors, or something strictly relevant to 4th gens that people might actually be interested in clicking on and checking out.
if we post up a load of ads, i can only imagine the spammer activity will go up on this site. hate to see it turn out like other celica sites. .
funds goddddddd adds baddddddd like everyone if they are relevant its not to bad. Its also where they are and how much they distract you. If there was say a banner add at the bottom of the page i wouldnt give a rats but yer inbetween posts id cry
i agree with rev_head and stig. ads suck eggs. i always get some useless ads when i check my email... and some other sites like TOCAU. (toyota owners club AU) i like the idea of fundraising, Perhaps a BBQ? but when it comes to ads, i say no way.
allright then. i was just feeling the waters on it. i know i HATE forums that have adds. so we won't do it.
