Mines at 136 000 km and 165 000 km Interestingly just stripped a st171 3sfe carb motor with 375 000 km and the std bores and bearings look like new. Weird - as I know the car was abused, the clutch was like candy floss all over the place, the oil was black and stank and the filter said "change at 300 000 or Sept 2007". I stripped a 185 3SGE over xmas with 130 000 km on it and the bores and bearings were completely f/d Surely the extra power can't eat up a motor like that? Any ideas?
Funny you mention that.. The FE motor had a 25 tooth GTE oil pump pulley and the GE had the std 27 tooth? Guess which Im gonna use from now on Here's a pic for those who have'nt seen them
