would be some mega bad luck if your fuel tank rusted!
i assume in the colder climates the condensation would be just from the climate
it would'nt be cold enough for long enough in australia for that kind of damage.
sounds like your doing all the right things to keep the car in good condition while its not being used
how long til you get ur licence back?

looks to be in top condition ;)

I am sure in Australia you guys are fine, its just our cold to wet to hot climate that screws up cars so much.

The only other thing I do with my celica when its in the garage over the winter is jack it up so I can rotate the tyres to stop them developing flat spots where the car sits.

going to keep it and use it as my daily driver to and from work, the clutch kit brand/model is a 'clutch industries/RPM' clutch, has anybody had any experience with these, are they any good? its meant to have a 20% stronger clamp than the standard clutch industries one. cost - $330 rims are $1200 with tyres (2nd Hand)

oh so do you think if i lower it, it will scrape my wheel guards? any way u suggest to avoide this? will i have to roll my guards like yours? or are yours just flares??

What is the offest of those 19's? Depending on the offset you might even hit the strut housing or spring perch. Sometimes that can be solved by using wheel spacers but then you would have another problem with fender clearence. 19's are too big imo but it has been done on an alltrac before. A red 165 comes to mind, maybe an old schooler like mafix would know whos car im thinking of.

ok thanks for the info there, hmm its tempting to buy them, but im afraid of wasting money if thye dont fit properly.. i thyink i will need spacers because the offset does look pretty far out and the wheels are fairly wide im not sure.. how much would i be looking at to get the guards rolled and get spacers if they dont fit?

edit, no i dont know what the offset actually is

would i be right with 19 x7 wheels or 18x7 or 18x8 ? ? which out of these would be the next best choice?

had a smashed quarter glass, had to remove the window and all the smahed up glass left in there in there, scrape the remaining silcone with a little acetone to help thin it out. after giving it a good clean, put the new quarter window in with a whole tube of sikaflex silicone and tightened the screws and put the seals back on, it took about 2.5 hr. while trying to remove it, i bent the black metal bar that goes in between the quarter glass and the rear glass, i eventually got it straight again, and completed the job. theres a little bit of spilt silcone on the glass and a tiny bit underneath it on the paint :x

hope it doesnt leak..it should be properly sealed though as i used a whole tube...it was a hot day so it was sticky and i got it all over my hands even after 2 hours of scrubbing i cant get it all off.
    worst job ever! never again.

edit: also bought a new shift knob and boss kit for my autotechnica steering wheel, going to cut my shifter soon with a hacksaw and put the new wheel on. will post some pics soon

my dodgy job of putting in the new window...still haven't scraped off all the left over duct tape that melted to the plastic surrounds...or cleaned it, but it did pass the leak test with the hose first try!

waiting for the boss kit to be delivered...

as it was earlier on today with new cd player, notice the height of the shifter and the new shift knob, i'm about to cut it..

this is the current height of my shifter. notice the mark where i have started it off with the hacksaw...this is where i will cut it.

    The result...

    different angle...

    6x9's are on there way
    [IMG]

the new length give a better feel for the gears and i dont need to move my hand as much now to shift, also waiting for the 2way immobiliser to be delivered, it has remote start. i've already saved money for new wheels & tint...followed by new springs, maybe shocks too...just a matter of time

Dude how did you do that Parcel Shelf?

I need a new one super bad and i wanted to do one with the Toyota logo on it like what you've done with the TRD but have no idea how to do it and no idea what business to see about doing it for me.

just cut out mdf using a template i printed out wood glued it on and painted it with house paint, but the parcel shelf will soak up a lot of paint before you get a solid tone

Shit, doing the logo on mine's going to be a PIA, just coz it's round.

Oh and I'll apologize now, i may steal your two toned white and gray center console/dash idea, i just think it looks awesome and i've been thinking bout it for a while, seeing that it works and looks good in real life has made me just want to do it all that much more.

Yeah, I was going to do a toyota logo instead.. i think it would be just as hard as the TRD one. the letters are a little tricky.. yeah go ahead and steal it then!
