FIXED PROBLEM!

still vaccuum related

it may only be a temp fix my idle used to be irratic and i cleaned out the iac and it went away but kept coming back...ended up being the MAF

 

Pretty tough to diagnose 100% correctly over the internet. So like Youds said, we still rock :wink: Glad you got 'er fixed.

 

How do you clean the IAC?

 

well tb cleaner down the hole haha but ya cant be perfect on the internet

lol, i have heard it can be used for cleaning various things.

 

atf can be used for lifter cleaning, i woldnt throw it in your intake though haha

 

Yeah that might get a little bit messy.... throttle body cleaner will evaporate once it dries so its safe to spray it in shit...just use a shop vac after to suck everything out before you turn the engine on.

 

True, true. Didn't think of that, but then you dont really think straight if you dont sleep, lol.

 

If you have an erratic idle check your spark plugs with factory spec torque specks. Just found out my motor has stripped spark plug inlets. Time for a new motor?
