You sometimes get it so that garages and generic websites will fill people heads with so much rubbish that they just will not listen to reason, sense or experience... sadly.

I did fall off my chair a bit a 215bhp N/A lol. but as I only know turbo and not lots even on that I thought I would see others said!

lol !! mafix , 32 for all that XD , if i could play counter strike source on a 32 " all day that would be awesome yeah , i always thought the 3sge has more hp than the 3sfe as i thought the 3sge came in the better of the models in the 4th gens , of course besides the alltrac/gt4

Yeah, don't know where that guy got the idea that the FE and GE make the same hp. FE makes like 115hp tops, the GE is 135hp.

LOL. :) No lost member. just been to busy to type. Also have the same problem as Mafix sig pic. true that was my mistake on incorrect info of the hp reading from stock. I talked to my step father (the builder and Machinist of my engine) and he reminded me what we had done to my engine (i had forgot some of the things that were done 5 years ago) Bored pistons .20 over, shaved the head .40 and the block .30, creating 10-1 compression. A computer generated dyno program, using the blueprints and numbers we machined estimated 215hp. It has never been on a dyno to truthfully verify this reading. I plan on doing that this summer as long as all goes well. Along with the machining we did porting and gasket matching (one of the greatest things to improve flow to an engine n/a or boosted).

P.s Mafix, I dont really appreciate being called a bullshitter. You dont know me or what i do or have. I will this pass as i'am good natured person(unless instigated  ) because it was incorrect information on my part.

I dont know why you guys think that is so substantial. If i had the money at the time we were planning on sleeving the block.

don't know why we think what? that a 3sfe is capable of 215 chp?
let me set the record straight on this. you will never hit 215chp on any 3sfe with the factory ecu. ever. end of story. i don't care if you stroke it, bore it till the side walls are paper, raise the compression so high you need a starter box. there is physically no amount of money that will allow it.

and just to add a little sauce to this, with the first gen motors that we all have, 200chp n/a is very hard to obtain on the ge motor, which is made for racing.

I've got to admit. This is one of the funniest posts I have seen on a Toyota Website. Its a proven fact that to make any amount of substantial power out of a Toyota (Turbo, NA, 4 cyl, V8, etc...) the first thing you have to do is scrap the stock ECU and MAF sensor. Its been proven time and time again.

I am not a master mechanic, but I know that the 3SFE is a joke of a 4 banger put in these cars they make decent power and spectacular gas mileage. To make any serious power on this Platform the usual path is to swap in a 3SGE or a 3SGTE and at least start with a baseline of over 100 hp.

Its cool to see someone doing something different with a 3SFE, but at the same time what a waste of money IMO. You could have done a swap for less than you paid for the machine work on the FE. For all the time spent why did only do just that. You should have 5 angled the valves and got a custom machined cam to go along with it all. It definitely be a peppy little bastard and fun to drive, but I'm afraid I'd still kick the shit out of that in a race with my 5k+ lb 4x4 Truck thats stock.
