I have a 3sfe engine in my car and a spare 3sge in storage. are the throttle body and the mass air flow sender the same between these. My 3sfe maf doesn't have a parts sticker on it. so i can't just check p/n. they both look the same as the others but just thought i would ask.
the ecu will not work with the different sensors. on the flip side i do have a good spare afm for a 3sfe and i do believe i have a spare throttle body or 2.
I don't really need one. I was just wondering if one had a bigger bore. Is there anything i could do to modify these to get more performance? A link or suggestions would be appreciated.
With the maching i have done, (Bored, Ported, Shaved, 10-1 comp.) On a dyno program it said the engine should make around 215 hp at the flywheel. I also have headers and an intake. I plan to upgrade the ECU and fuel system. I'll be sticking with this engine for a couple more years. I was just wondering if there was any little tweeks for the MAF.
No ways to modify it eh? Thats to bad. I have been looking into ITB's My freind has them on his corolla. Mafix do you know anyone who has done this to a st162?
No a 3sfe. And That is only from a computer dyno program. I'll get it on a dyno this summer. And find out at wheel hp.
Cali do u have some pics of your car? Id really like to take a ride in it one day with all that engien work done to see how it compares to my GE, sicne we are so close How do you find your MPG has been?
No boost, Natural Aspiration. It has Been Bored out .50 over. block and head have been shaved to Make 10-1 compresion. valves seats have been machined. Meph, Let me get it road legal. and back up to snuff. its been off the road for a couple of years. But i'll keep you updated.
Man, theres no way a n/a 3sfe would put out any where near that.Sorry i just dont beleive it. Stock 3sfe make like 95 hp..thats more than 100% gain.I'm having my 3sge built [135 hp stock] and i have more than that done to mine. The most i would ever expect would be in the 170-ish range @ the fly..And thats after full exhaust..tuning..ect.
Really..? Well i know for a fact that my 90 camry had a 3sfe and it had 95 hp, So unless theres a different 3sfe.
yota is right. and it is physically impossible to make the power you claim on a 3sfe. also there is no way in hell you can get a .50 over punch on the stock block. it would crack between 2+3 cylinders. if you plan on bullshitting your way around here it won't work.
