hello everyone i was wondering wat yall thought about a 90-93 front end on my 89gts celica give me your opinions i will take them in concern but i am also getting rid of the pop up headlights so that i can have a totally custom car.
The 90-93 Front end still has fixed lights. Either way alot of work to set it up correctly, and then turn around and modify for fixed lights. I would setup the stock lights in a fixed location similar to several of the rally cars from the same era as our cars and go from there. If you are dead set on a 90-93 look, then I would just sell the 4G and pick up a 5G. By the time you got done spending the money you could have purchased the 5g anyway.
Of course, the point might be just to have a custom car. I think it's an awesome idea, and actually it's one of the things I had planned on doing to mine too. (The front end swap, not the light thing) Though, if you want to kill the popups, you might have better luck with a frontend from a 6th. Either way, you will have to do some bodywork and a little cutting to mould it all together and make it look right. It will not just bolt on. There will be fiberglass involved.
well i looked around yesterday and i have decided that i will be keepin the 4thgen fenders and hood and bumper and installing 96-99 lexus es300 headlights and corners because the corners are the same shape as the 4th gens so i will have that custom look with less work plus i will be having an aeroform bodykit molded to the body all the way around.
hey guys found the lights that are gonna go on it look at mid 90's lexus es300 headlights and corners the corners match almost perfectly and i will be keeping the bumper and fenders and hood so it wont look dumb.
